SYSTEMATICALLY TO SUCCESS

4r-METHOD:
RECAP, RESET, RECHARGE, RESTART

Theory alone does not drive a company forward.
That is why I developed the 4R method – based on my experience with over 10 change models, from Kotter to ADKAR, from PwC Infinity Loop to Deloitte Vision2Value.

Phase 1 – RECAP

Step 1: Stakeholder interviews in advance reveal initial findings.
Step 2:
Compare team and external perceptions. Blind spots become visible.
Step 3:
Jointly determine what the project now needs to be successful.

Phase 2 – RESET

Iterative and agile: Design or adapt engagement plans based on RECAP findings. Identify quick wins and define concrete milestones.
Eliminate ineffective
methods and supplement them with more effective ones. Set clear priorities for tomorrow and the coming months.

Phase 3 – RECHARGE

Activate the team. Ensure successful implementation: Based on the new engagement plan, strengthen self-confidence and motivation—individually and as a team. Identify gaps in knowledge and skills and close them through targeted coaching, mentoring, or training.

Phase 4 – RESTART

Secure initial direct successes: Through job shadowing and operational support. The team is working according to the new plan, and I am providing on-the-job support. Quality management ensures initial direct quick wins. Set supervision for the coming weeks.

Customer testimonials

What customers and colleagues say

"Hi, I worked with Maik for over a year. He is very customer- and results-oriented and always questions the status quo in order to find the best (available) solution. His eagerness to realize big dreams and then implement them is remarkable. I greatly appreciate his balance between “pragmatic lateral thinking” and “streamlined strategic thinking.” Maik is one of the best change agents I have ever worked with, and he empowers his team to become better every day."
Susanne Schmutzler
Partner Transformagination, PwC
"Maik was my mentor and coach when I started my career, supporting and challenging me in my development. Between 2021 and 2023, as my manager at TenneT, he helped me develop strengths that I couldn't see in myself yet. In projects, he guided me through challenges without directly intervening, which encouraged my personal responsibility and perseverance—but he was always available as a backup and expert when needed. His knowledge of presentation techniques, project management, and stakeholder management still enriches my way of working."
Konstanze Gleich
Communication Advisor HR,
TenneT TSO
“Maik is a highly motivated, forward-thinking person who is excellent to work with. He has exceptional expertise in coaching executives and a practical approach to motivating others and solving problems, which has earned him the respect of his colleagues and superiors. He has an excellent understanding and knowledge of organizational change. I particularly appreciate his positive attitude toward difficult challenges.”

Group Head Controlling, ex-Apollo
